International standard for an Artificial Intelligence Management System (AIMS).
ISO/IEC 42001:2023 is the first management-system standard for AI, parallel to ISO 27001 for infosec. It covers AI policy, risk assessment, impact assessment, lifecycle controls and roles. Certification is awarded by accredited bodies. Overlaps with SOC 2 Security TSC by roughly 40–50% when implemented well.
